Help Me!
Published on March 9, 2005 By Kahlbot In Welcome
Grittings! This happens to be my first post, and I already have some confusion.

1. How can I change the way my blog looks? Blue is not, well, to my liking. Atleast, not this blue.

2. Why does the RSS feed show only the top articles (or is it featured articles?) and not the new ones?

3. And this is not a confusion, it is a problem. I am not able to download BlogNavigator. Over the last one month, I have tried about five times, and each time, the download breaks at some point. Apparently, I'm not the only one with this prob. Check out the comments section of Download.com

First, welcome!

I'm just another user here, but I'll help with what I can.

1) There's a frame window at the top of the sidebar. When you are logged in, it has a link that says "My Account." Click it. The upper right hand box on the page that follows says, "Select Site and Option to Edit." The radio button for "Select Site Theme and Titles" should already by selected. If not, do so. Press edit. You can change the color scheme and which side of the screen your sidebar is on from there.

2) Each site/blog has its own RSS feed. Your personal feed has your articles from newest to oldest. If you use a sub-header (such as the "Help Me!" on this article) that will be in the "description" field of the feed. If you don't use the sub-header, the description field will contain the beginning of the article.

I consider the main RSS feed for www.joeuser.com kind of flaky. It seems to be a mishmash of featured and top articles. Either way, not very useful for me.

3) Sorry, can't help you there. E-mail someone official.

I clicked the my account button
I did not find any box, only the frame window again. And nothing that says Select Site and Option to Edit. Is it because of my user level? I am just a citizen.
Anyway, thanks

I too am just a lowly citizen. We all have that much customization.

Make sure you are logged in, and try this link: http://kahlbot.joeuser.com/myAccount.asp

Try it and tell me what you get.
